Recognizing the obstacles we face and the pressure of life today yoga and self care are at the top of my list!

Learning to create a foundation of "calm and strong" with a slow, mindful practice, enables us to recognize and manage the curve balls life throws. Yoga helps us to navigate the changing currents in life, through the help of a well equipped toolbox of skills.
Yoga can increase our awareness of and connection to our nervous system as well as to our breath. This can help to create coping strategies for our life today and moving forward thereby increasing our ability and longevity to weather the storms of life.

Kathryn Gaye's motto "Do, don't overdo, Don't underdo!" Creates a way to take responsibility for what we are feeling and how far we want to go.
Sometimes our restrictions are purely physical, lack of activity, result of injuries, or poor posture and lifestyle choices. Yoga can increase our awareness of and connection to our nervous system as well as to our breath. This can help us each to create coping strategies for our life today and moving forward, thereby increasing our ability and longevity in weathering the storms of life.
The spine must be strong yet fluid as it connects to the three diaphragms of the body - brain, thoracic and pelvic which all connect us to an emotional place and can influence breath…… there is nothing that moves in isolation, our amazing bodies are so intricately connected.
Watch a baby sleep and breath, and see the movement in their hands and feet as well as through the torso, truly astounding! Their supple bodies so receptive and open. As we age we harden and lock down, perhaps for what seems like good reason, but in locating and recognizing these restriction and limitation we can often see how we shut down not only emotionally, but physically. In the safety and comfort of your own surroundings you can take the time to be aware, and learn to softened and open. Mindful moves and Meditation with Kathryn Gaye, will help to open the doorway!
